With over 25 years as a senior business affairs executive in the film and television industry, Kent Wingerak brings extensive experience in both the broadcasting and production side of the business.  A Chartered Accountant with an extensive legal background in entertainment law and a rich history in the arts, Kent conveys a unique blend of business acumen, strategic vision, and creativity.

 

Kent began his career in the film and television industry as the Vice President of Business Affairs at WIC Entertainment, the development, licensing, and Canadian programming, and investment division for one of Canada’s largest national broadcast entities, WIC Television. At WIC, Kent was responsible for the analysis, structuring, negotiation, and domestic distribution for the company’s Canadian production activities.
 
Following this, Kent was Executive Vice President at Peace Arch Productions, one of Canada’s largest publicly listed film and television production entities. Serving as one of the company’s senior executives in the areas of business affairs, development, finance, production, and distribution, Kent was an essential component of the Peace Arch management team.
 
As the Senior Vice President of Business Affairs at Network since 2003, Kent is a key member of Network’s senior executive team where he oversees the strategic analysis, negotiation, structuring, and contractual arrangements for all of the Company’s development, financing, production, licensing, and distribution activities. In addition to spearheading the business affairs for Network, Kent has also executive produced numerous of the Company’s growing slate of award-winning film and television properties and is integral to the success of Network’s ongoing production initiatives.
