Eric MacDonald has contributed extensively to Network’s award-winning documentary films and series since joining the Company in 2012. As Creative Content Producer, Eric is responsible for the execution of all creative facets of both production and post across Network’s ongoing lineup of films and series.

 

As a skilled editor, writer and producer, Eric’s story skills, love of music and cinema, and creative passions have aligned themselves across a lineup of films and series including Johnny Cash – American Rebel, the I Am franchise of documentaries, and most recently, Network’s four-part docu-series PUNK (for EPIX) that won, among other accolades, Best Documentary Series at the 2020 Leo Awards.

 

Eric has worked in almost every department across the film industry, from camera, editorial, to supervising post-production. As a young writer, his first feature screenplay, Fragile, was a semi-finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, a finalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition, and grand prize winner in the Script Pipeline Screenwriting Contest. 

 

He has directed two short films, Fragile, adapted from his screenplay, and Ashes Fall (featured at the AFI Dallas Film Festival).
